Spring has sprung

I was recently walking past a great window display on the little island that i call home.
This just says spring to me and that i better get busy in the garden planting so that i
have a wonderful vegetable garden this season

Postcards from my island...Lavender time

I love lavender......and in bloom right now,
is the the beautiful Spanish lavender.

This Italian carved shelf has sold and is heading off to the new buyer.

What a great idea to do a wall with many small shelves like this one
and place either candles on each, or various small framed photos and
artwork.

Spring brings new little fawns to the garden..
Passing through with their mothers.

The mother jumped the fence.. but the little one
couldn't yet make it over, and ran back and forth
until I could open the gate, so she could join her
mother on the other side of the fence.

Soon they will return to devour the garden!!!

a morning walk - Postcards from my island

I love my island...........
I live and work on an island in Puget Sound.
Bainbridge Island is just a 35 minute ferry
ride from downtown Seattle, yet another world.

This spring has been so gray. So today,
I felt i just needed some fresh air and a
good walk.

Earlier this month I attended the Spring vintage Market at Christmas House - one of my favorite island cottage's filled with vintage and holiday items that the owner's collect throughout the year.
